We encourage best practice internal parasite control through the selective use of anthelmintics (drenches). This approach is based on faecal egg count results from our in-house or external laboratory facilities, which helps prevent anthelmintic resistance. We are more than happy to assist with the administration of anthelmintics if required, ensuring that your livestock receives the appropriate treatment.
In addition, we also offer a range of other services to maintain the health and comfort of your animals. These include hoof trimming, de-budding of horns, and horn trimming. We believe in providing the best possible care for your livestock, which is why we offer these procedures under sedation and local anaesthetics. This not only decreases the pain experienced by the animals but also promotes faster recovery, ensuring that your livestock can return to their normal activities as soon as possible.

Cattle Reproduction Services
Herd fertility is the cornerstone of any successful cattle operation, and regular pregnancy testing is an essential tool for maximizing productivity.
From six weeks into gestation until calving, we offer both ultrasound and manual pregnancy diagnosis, providing valuable insights into the reproductive health of your herd. These tests allow us to identify infertile cows, pinpoint reproductive problems like cystic ovaries (which are easily treated), and detect bull breakdowns. Early identification of these issues allows for timely intervention, preventing further losses and ensuring optimal herd performance.
Pregnancy testing enables efficient management of resources. By removing non-pregnant cows from the pregnant herd, we can reduce the cost of supplemental feeding for dry cows, optimising feed allocation and minimising expenses. Knowing which cows are pregnant allows for strategic planning and allocation of labor during the calving season, ensuring a smooth and efficient calving process.
To further enhance herd fertility, we also offer comprehensive bull breeding soundness examinations, including fertility and semen testing. This ensures that your bulls are healthy and capable of producing viable offspring, contributing to a robust and productive herd.

Surgery
We routinely perform a wide range of procedures, from routine castrations, third eye-lid tumour removals and hernia repairs to more complex surgeries like eye enucleation and caesareans. Our expertise extends to the treatment of common digestive issues, including left and right displaced abomasum surgeries.
Biosecurity Planning
We can assist you in developing robust biosecurity plans tailored to your specific needs, encompassing risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and ongoing monitoring.
Emergency
